Enemalta said yesterday the stormy weather on Saturday and early yesterday caused power cuts in various localities and its engineers had moved promptly to restore power.

It said a transformer supplying power to Zebbiegh and Bahrija had also developed a fault and would need to be replaced. Repairs were expected to continue last night.
