Street naming in Floriana

I refer to the letter by Joan Schranz. It would indeed be fitting for a street in Floriana to be named after the late Prof. Joseph J. Mangion.

A suggestion on this has been made on previous occasions.

I am aware of how close Prof. Mangion always was to his home town, Floriana. His great contribution to the advancement of academic and clinical dental surgery is well documented in the archives of both the university and the health department, two institutions he dedicated his life to. Prof. Mangion established oral and dento-alveolar surgery, what is today known as surgical dentistry, as a distinct, hospital-based discipline. His willingness to give advice, when asked, with such discretion is fondly remembered to this day.
