Moderate to strong winds tomorrow with some rain showers in the afternoon and evening will shift to gale force eight to nine (gusting force nine to 10) on Thursday and Friday.

The winds will be accompanied with phenomenally-high seas of at least seven metres and possibly even higher at times, maltaweathersite.com said in a statement.

The site said that temperatures will also drop significantly with a high of only 13C on Thursday and 11C on Friday and lows of 8C to 9C.

These temperatures will feel even colder because of the wind chill effect.
