Students who need financial assistance to meet costs related to their studies incurred between November, 2009, and June, and which are not covered by any other grants, may submit applications for assistance from the KSU Student Opportunity Fund. Applications for the second semester will be received until March 5.
The costs may include, for example, expenses to travel abroad for research or to attend a conference, to buy rare research material or books to help them with their thesis.
A selection board made up of representatives of the students, the University and the University Students' Council's financial corporate partners will adjudicate the applications.
Gasan Enterprises Ltd recently signed an agreement to become a KSU corporate partner for the next three years. Under the agreement, half the sponsorship goes for the fund and the other half to meet expenses incurred by the KSU to deliver services to students.
