The police are planning to arraign a newspaper editor and columnist for allegedly inciting racial hatred.

Summons have been sent to The Malta Independent editor Steve Chetcuti and columnist Simone Zammit Endrich over the publication of an article entitled Bitter Harvest, and carried last April 22.

The summons called on them to appear before Magistrate Michael Mallia on October 9 to answer to the charge of inciting racial hatred.
