Super One TV will go digital on October 1. Besides a digital transmission room, equipped for automated transmission, new transmitters will be installed in the coming days so that the digital signal from the station will reach its destination guaranteeing a far better picture and sound quality mainly to Cable TV and Multiplus subscribers, the station said.
Households still dependent on terrestrial reception will have to wait longer to get the digital quality, although they will still be receiving a free-to-air analogue signal. Super One TV will have a newly-built studio in addition to its current three studios. Station managing director Michael Vella Haber expressed his gratitude at the success obtained by the station during the first edition of the Malta TV Awards.
Dr Vella Haber said this success was the result of motivation and the good will of the company's employees as well as the professionalism of outsourced producers that the company agreed to work with on joint productions.
Super 1 TV will be launching its autumn schedule on Friday, when the results of the re-branding project will be unveiled.
