Machinery that was no longer required by the drydocks may be given to technical schools, Malta Shipyards said yesterday.
Some machinery has become surplus to requirements because of the amalgamation of certain facilities. Other equipment is badly damaged or superseded. However, a number of items would still be useful for training purposes.
Machinery which could not be used would be sold as scrap, the company said.
