Joseph Bianchi, 39 of Senglea, this morning admitted injuring two policemen when he chased his wife Susan down to a police station last month.

Magistrate Neville Camilleri jailed Mr Bianchi for a year suspended for two years after his wife Mrs Bianchi said she did not want to take action against her husband.

Mr Bianchi, who had a clean police record, was also placed on probation for a year.
