As part of the Comenius project "What's in your net, fisherman?" Marie Johanneson and Annalie Lindquist, two Swedish kindergarten teachers, last month paid a week's visit to Qrendi Primary School. Information regarding the two countries' educational systems was exchanged. The two teachers also visited Mqabba Primary School and Helen Keller Special School.

The visit provided the Qrendi staff with an opportunity to explore and discuss teaching methodologies in Malta and Sweden. The Swedish kinder educational system caters for children aged one to six. Schools are open from 6.30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The two Swedish guests were taken on sight-seeing visits to historical sites and were treated to typical Maltese food exquisitely cooked by Marianne and Rita, the school's caretakers.

A Maltese delegation is to visit Karlstad in Sweden next April. The project has created a Comenius project Website and also makes use of the EU Community Website, EPSA's site as well as comeniusprojects.com.
