Does the European Union have its own symbols as other entities?

Yes of course. The new Constitution lists a number of symbols that distinguish the European Union from any other regional arrangement in the world. The EU has its own consisting of a circle of 12 golden stars on a blue background. The EU also has its anthem based on the Ode to Joy from the Ninth Symphony by German composer Ludwig van Beethoven. The motto of the EU is "United in diversity". The EU has its own currency, the euros and its annual day, called Europe Day, celebrated on May 9 throughout the member states.
