Synergene completes move to new premises

Synergene Biotechnology Group, incorporating Synergene Technologies Ltd and Synergene Profiling Ltd, recently moved their molecular biology laboratories to new corporate headquarters in Qormi.

Synergene was founded four years ago in Malta with a multi-million dollar foreign investment to hunt genes that cause disease and, in collaboration with pharmaceutical companies, develop better treatments. In addition, the company has also commercialised its DNA-testing technology, which ranges from paternity testing to disease diagnosis.

Synergene director Mamie Pace said: "Our new laboratories have been specifically designed to meet the growing demand for this technology. We have planned for and are already witnessing an overall increase in operational efficiency."

At a recent meeting at Synergene's new headquarters, UK stockbroker W.H. Ireland's life sciences analyssaid: "The recent restructuring places the company in a very good position to expand its operations in Malta and overseas, which will result in accelerated revenue and earnings."
