The Archdiocese of Malta has published a CD-Rom on the Synod values for children with the aim of promoting values as part of children's lifestyle, their way of thinking and behaviour.
Go Mobile, part sponsors, said the interactive CD-Rom has been developed with the intention of teaching primary school children the six basic human and spiritual values that the Diocesan Synod (1999-2003) proposed to Maltese Catholics.
The six values - communion, dialogue, formation, solidarity, evangelisation and service to others - are each presented in a cartoon story with an accompanying game.
The story is taken from the Gospel along with an explanatory text which can be downloaded and used by both parents and teachers. The visual aids, the sheep character Beqqina and the simple language used throughout help young users to better understand the six values.
So far, more than 4,000 copies of the CD-Rom have been distributed to children.
