A concerned Times of Malta reader sent us these photos of used syringes strewn across the ground just opposite Floriana's park and ride. 

This is not the first time such complaints have been made. As far back as 2005, then-Floriana mayor Publius Agius was telling Times of Malta that the locality was facing such problems.  

In December 2014, parliament was told that an estimated 200,000 syringes had been distributed by hospitals and health centres in the last six months of that year.
