The Maltese Association of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta held its annual pilgrimage to the sanctuary of Our Lady of Ta' Pinu.

About 150 sick, disabled, elderly persons with their helpers from Malta were joined at the sanctuary by another group of 50 from Gozo.

The Bishop of Gozo Mgr Nicholas Cauchi led concelebrated Mass. The Laudate Pueri Choir provided sacred music during the Mass. After the church service, the pilgrims were taken to Hotel Ta' Cenc and treated to lunch. As is usual on these occasions, the members of the Order, their consorts and the Volunteers of the Order (VOTO) served the food.

During the meal, Spiro Sillato, Censu Saliba, Spiro Cauchi and Toni Formosa provided musical entertainment. The pilgrimage, held this year on May 28, has been going on since the early 1990s and is now a well-established commitment of the Maltese Association of the SMOM.
