In preparation of the Games of the Small States of Europe, a team from the Malta Taekwondo Federation (MTF) recently took part in the London Capital Competition 2005 at the Brunel University Osterley, London.

In the fight competition, Neville Desira won a silver medal and David Pulis a bronze. Both are earmarked to represent Malta in the next GSSE in Andorra. Aspirant Luke Spiteri was the top performer in the colour belt category. In the technical competition, James Zammit was third and Christopher Vella, the MTF president, won a gold medal in the technical competition for veterans. In London, the team was under the charge of national coach Brian Saliba.
