This year the drama unit of St Augustine's College, Pietà, decided to incorporate the talents of the students, who, together with the teaching staff, put up an evening's entertainment.

Music, song, dance, comedy, sketches, spirit combat display and drama were the highlights of the evening. The students were the stars of the show. The evening was brought to a close with a piece performed by the teachers' choir, followed by a play with an unusual ending called Meta Hatfu l-Papa. Xarabank presenter Peppi Azzopardi, as an Old Boy of the college, also made an appearance.

June brought to the end another very busy scholastic year for St Augustine's College. The rector, Fr Alan Scerri, OSA, hosted the Awards Evening at the college grounds. This was presided over by the Director-General of Education, Dr Cecilia Borg. John Agius, who finished his studies at the college in 1940, was also invited, and offered a special prize to one of the students.

This event sets out to reward both academic achievement as well as positive values exhibited by the students throughout the previous scholastic year. As such the appreciation of our students on a personal level brings out and strengthens the positive aspects of their characters, helping them to grow and become better citizens of the future.
