The parliamentary secretary in the Home Affairs Ministry, George Pullicino, visited St Edward's College in Cottonera and met the Middle School pupils who are involved in the Eco Schools Project.

This project is spearheaded by the Malta Environment and Planning Authority in collaboration with the Education Division. It aims to empower pupils, teachers and parents to take practical steps to improve the environment in their locality.

The Middle School pupils are part of a committee which also includes teachers and parents, which reviews St Edward's environmental impact. They are also involved in preparing an action plan.
