If not, I suggest that he re-reads my article, calmly. He will then, maybe, understand that my piece was not about the St John museum project. It was about how the Archbishop was instrumental to assuaging the Prime Minister's political embarrassment when the latter had no option but to announce the rejection of the said project. The Archbishop's clear political move hurt some Catholic Labourites and others who care about the secularity of state.

Attempts at fudging this simple argument will not change that reality.
