I read with interest that action is being taken for the better preservation of the old armaments held at the Palace Armoury.
However I wonder if the damage is being caused by the damp rising from the ground floor, where the exhibits are on display.
For many years these were displayed in the upper hall, now occupied by the Chamber of the House of Representatives.
So one should perhaps see whether the present hall is suitable for the weapons and old armour to be displayed, and whether corrosion is being caused by the damp.
Was it a good idea to move the Armoury to its present premises, which were originally used as stables?
