We do not think that tourists and Maltese are aware of the "bird sanctuary" called Sliema. We were on our first and last holiday in Malta and on one of our walks on the promenade in Sliema we counted no fewer than 28 cranes.

Now that was a very nice attraction as they were very colourful.

Well done to the ministry responsible for the environment!
