Floriana vs Ħamrun Spartans (today at 3 p.m., National Stadium).

Floriana need only one point from their remaining three matches to secure their Premier League status as they are nine points ahead of second-from-bottom Msida St Joseph.

The Greens are expected to give their all to put the seal on their survival mission by avoiding defeat to Ħamrun in today's opening match.

Coach Zoran Popovic may still opt to rest some key players ahead of Tuesday's final against Valletta. Veteran defender Brian Said is doubtful with a hamstring problem.

For their part, the Spartans are high on confidence.

After confirming their place in the top flight for another season with a 5-3 win over Msida, Ħamrun booked their place in the semi-finals of the U*Bet FA Trophy after a resounding 5-2 victory over Sliema Wanderers.

With the exception of Diego Cucciardi, who is serving a doping ban, Ħamrun, who lead Floriana by two points, are at full strength.

Previous results - Ħamrun vs Floriana 0-1, 1-1, 2-1.

Dingli vs Msida (tomorrow at 3 p.m., National Stadium).

After going down 5-3 to Ħamrun Spartans in their last league outing, Msida have all but given up of hope of pulling off a 'great escape'.

Confirmation that the Saints have failed to meet an April 7 deadline to pay the money they owe to some former players and an ex-coach further dampens their morale as the MFA Control and Disciplinary Board has recommended a 10-point penalty for Msida.

Msida's financial plight and the suggested sanction are expected to be discussed by the Malta FA Executive Committee on Monday.

Nothing bar pride is at stake in tomorrow's clash between Msida and Dingli.

Msida's predicament should increase Dingli's motivation to try and gain only their second win this season and improve their chances of avoiding bottom spot.

Msida's Argentine forward Emiliano Lattes has flown back to his home country, Kalenga Ndayi is out of the equation and Roderick Baldacchino is still recovering from a virus.

Previous results - Dingli vs Msida 1-2, 0-1, 2-3.

Qormi vs Hibs (tomorrow at 5 p.m., National Stadium).

Hibs will be looking to avenge their painful defeat to Qormi in the FA Trophy quarter-final when they tackle the same opponents in the league. Last Monday, Qormi ended Hibs' hopes of winning a trophy this season after coming out on top in a penalty shoot-out following a one-all draw.

Qormi are also fighting to finish third in the league and victory tomorrow would significantly bolster their chances.

Now that their FA Trophy bid is over, Hibs' only route to Europe is via the league but only a strong finish would revive their chances, what with the Paolites trailing Qormi by seven points.

Midfielder Stefan Giglio is in line for a recall to the Qormi squad after recovering from injury.

Hibs coach Mark Miller must make do without Portuguese forward Miguel Lopes de Pina who suffered a hamstring injury in the early stages of Monday's cup tie.

Previous results - Qormi vs Hibs 3-1, 2-2, 0-1.
