What are the proposals for Kirkop?
Kirkop is primarily a residential village having the airport and an industrial area in the vicinity.
The plan proposes better traffic management and the provision of new recreational facilities.
The proposals cover traffic calming and environmental improvements (Ref SMKI 01); an urban open space at Misrah Iz-Zerniq (SMKI 02);
The Kirkop industrial area (SMKI 03); a recreational area at Triq il-Belt Valletta (SMKI 04); and quarries at Tas-Sienja, Tal-Bolla and Bonu z-Zghir.
What are the proposals for Gudja?
The locality of Gudja is affected by the nearby airport. Policies seek to achieve better traffic management within Gudja and the containment of industrial and commercial activity.
The policies cover traffic management within the village core (SMGU 01); the upgrading of Vjal it-Torri (SMGU 02) and an area of mixed uses at Triq Hal-Tarxien (Ta' l-Imsaqqfa) (SMGU 03).
