The Times takes every single opportunity that emerges in order to criticise the opposition, even on petty incidents.

The latest occasion presented itself in the editorial Walk-outs And Realism, where The Times strongly took it against the opposition for walking out of Parliament during the budget discussions, even though this was only a symbolic gesture. Why a simple walk-out deserved such a "catastrophic" editorial is beyond my reasoning.

After all, was it not The Times that was so sympathetic with the Nationalist elected members when years ago they boycotted their seat in Parliament in what was much more than a walk-out?

The Labour Party is right to send strong signals to the government that this situation of putting further burdens on the workers to solve the problems, which it itself created, is completely senseless and unjust. Does The Times prefer demonstrations in the streets with the risk of violence in order that someone starts showing one's disapproval?

The people are getting more "terribly disenchanted with our politicians" when they are promised heaven on earth and they only get hell, when a leader of a party is found to have bluntly told an untruth on another leader, when nobody is ever accountable... Need I go on?

The truth is that our country's woes have now accumulated through misgovernment.

What the country really needs, and urgently, is another government that has the right determination and direction to tackle seriously our country's difficult situation.

The Times should give its part in this too.
