Between January 2009 and the end of May 2010 the police had received reports of a total of 12 thefts from St Vincent de Paul Residence and other old people's homes, Health Minister Joseph Cassar said in reply to a parliamentary question by Nationalist MP Jean Pierre Farrugia.

The thefts involved mostly cash, but also included two rings and a radio.
