Five U*BET Swedish Championship finals, all on the 2,140m distance, were held yesterday afternoon.
As expected, the Premier Class race was the main attraction on the card which included four other trotting events, also on 2,140m, along with a Class A flat competition heat.
A keen tussle between three trotters in the Premier Class final developed in the final 100m.
But, in the end, it was Think Yatzee, driven by Clint Vassallo, that just had the better of Bello Fratello and Arnie Sensation in that order.
In the Gold Class final, Carl Caruana's Power Cape dashed strongly from the outside, midway through the straight for home, to surprise the rest and win from Charlie Smitt, second, and Biggles Coquet, third.
In the Silver Class cham-pionship final, Noel Baldacchino's Noble Spirit led for most of the distance but in the final metres it was nearly overtaken by Gigo Lloyd.
Raymond Clifton also took a share of the limelight yesterday.
The veteran ace managed to keep favourite Internet in the lead from start to finish to claim first place in the Bronze Class final despite being strongly attacked by Ingo Moon.
The Copper Class honours went to the mare Juliette Rodney, controlled by George Attard.
In the flat event, Nikos Heriniere looked set for victory but was overtaken 100m from the post by Lordswood.
