Thirty-two migrants are being held at the Detention Centre after being found living in Malta illegally.

They were arrested in a series of raids in public spaces and private homes in Gozo on Sunday, the police said.

The arrested persons are from Ghana, Syria, Ethiopia and Sudan. Proceedings have started to return them to their country of origin or ordinary residence.
