Three men were arrested by the police late yesterday after a burglary from a residence in St Dominic Street, Sliema, was foiled.

The police said that at about 8.30 p.m. they were informed of suspicious movements in the house. On going to the scene, officers became suspicious of a man found waiting in a car. The man, a 26-year-old from Valletta, was arrested after a search on his person and in the car.

The police also heard noises coming from the house and as they tried to enter, two men were seen running on the roof. The two, both aged 31 from Valletta, were also arrested.

Investigations are continuing.
