Three migrants were found this morning hiding in an SUV which arrived on a Catamaran from Sicily last night.

The migrants were found by Customs Officials who searched the vehicle after they suspected it was carrying items on which duty had to be paid.

On opening the vehicle they found a migrant hidden under some cartons before finding another two migrants in the car's boot.

The immigration police were informed of the case.

Customs said they also found boxes full of water bottles which were subject to excise and duty and which were being imported for resale.
