Three men were yesterday charged with burgling a Mellieha restaurant last year.

Ludvig Bugeja, 26, of Cospicua, Anthony Spiteri, 25, of Marsascala and Ronald Cutajar, 24, of Tarxien pleaded not guilty to stealing less than Lm1,000 worth of items from Mithna Bar and Restaurant on October 14 to the detriment of Alexander Vella and causing more than Lm50 damage at the premises.

Bugeja and Spiteri were also charged with breaching the conditions of a previous release and relapsing.

Police Inspectors Paul Bond and Carmelo Magri prosecuted.
