The third age-group swimming meeting of the season, held on Saturday at Tal-Qroqq's pool, produced three national records, two in team events and the other in an individual event.

Maltese-Australian Ryan Gambin set a new mark for the 50 metres freestyle when covering the distance in 24.70 seconds to trim the previous mark held by John Tabone since 2002 by 0.5 seconds.

The men's 4 x 50m relay record of 1:47.36 was lowered by 15 hundredths of a second to 1:47.21. The team was made up of Neil Agius, Andrea Agius, Mark Sammut and Paul Herrera.

The last record was in the 4 x 50 metres medley relay for women. Nicole Cremona, Davina Mangion, Angela Galea and Talisa Pace covered the four laps in 2:10.17, an improvement of 3.82 seconds on the previous mark set in 2006.
