Three-vehicle crash on Coast Road

Three people were injured in a three-vehicle accident on the Coast Road yesterday afternoon, police said.

The vehicles were a Subaru car, a Leyland truck and a Suzuki Samurai jeep.

Police said the Subaru was first involved in a collision with the truck going in the opposite direction and then with the jeep back in its own lane.

A woman and a girl in the Samurai were hurt, but not seriously.

The Subaru driver was also slightly injured but due to heavy damage to his car the civil protection department had to be called in to help him out, police said.

All three were taken to hospital.
