Three year probation for man who admitted to possession of child pornography

Court told man working hard to change his ways, attended 150 therapy sessions since January 2025

A man has been put on probation for three years after he admitted to the possession of child pornography.

Court was told the man “was disappointed in himself” and was working hard to change his ways. He had attended about 150 therapy sessions voluntarily since January 2025.

The accused admitted to the charges of possession of pornographic material depicting children under the age of nine.

On handing down judgment, Magistrate Elaine Rizzo noted she had heard how the man, whose name cannot be published by court order, had shown genuine remorse and was working hard to address his issues with the support of his family and partner.

Police Inspector Eman Hayman prosecuted, while lawyer Franco Debono and Adreana Zammit represented the accused.
