Tipping at a quarry in Qrendi continued yesterday as can be seen from the video above submitted by a reader.

The quarry was the subject of an adjournment speech last Tuesday by government whip Godfrey Farrugia, who tabled three photos of the quarry which he said had developed into a tipping site. Dr Farrugia made an impassioned plea for the protection of the country’s natural beauty.

Dr Farrugia had asked whether there was a permit for this activity and said that the Qrendi council had also been protesting about the situation.
