The top stories in Malta's newspapers on Monday

The following are the top stories in Malta's newspapers on MOnday.

Times of Malta reports that Prime Minister Robert Abela pledges higher benefits in his latest electoral campaign pronouncements, while PN leader Alex Borg said a PN government would lower energy bills. 

The newspaper also reports that a law shielding gaming companies from foreign judgments has been deemed 'contrary to EU rules' by an EU advocate general.

The Malta Independent leads with the PN pledge to cut electricity bills by 30%. It also says Abela has dismissed claims that the outcome of the general election is a foregone conclusion. 

l-orizzont focuses on Labour's promise to raise children's allowance and the in-work benefit.

In-Nazzjon leads with the PN's electricity bills promise, and also says energy minister Miriam Dalli does not know how much the gas supply will cost the country after the current contract expires in August.
