The following are the top stories in Malta's newspapers on Sunday.

The Sunday Times of Malta leads with its latest election poll, showing Labour has gained over the PN since the last survey in October.  It also reports that a Maltese man has threatened to go to the constitutional court if the government passes a bill that forbids the public registration of foreign characters in names.

MaltaToday says Malta is set to trial driverless buses, with a trial planned on short routes between Smart City and Esplora in Malta and San Lawrenz and Ta' Dbieġi crafts village in Gozo.  It also reports that the tourism authority will block hotel height concessions.

The Malta Independent writes on the hidden environmental cost of AI, such as the demand for water and electricity. It also features calls for workers to be rewarded if they stay in work beyond 65 years of age.

KullĦadd focuses on the Labour Congress, where the prime minister said the time had come to write a new chapter for the people of Malta and Gozo.

Illum quotes the Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association, welcoming new regulations on hotels and other tourist accommodation, but saying that there has to be effective enforcement.
