The following are the top stories in Malta's newspapers on Monday.

Times of Malta reports that according to its survey, traffic remains the people's top concern. It also features a warning by Ryanair that it could redirect capacity from Malta if border check delays persist.

The Malta Independent says the mayor of St Paul's Bay has explained his council's limited role over the delayed Bugibba Square works. It also reports that PN leader Alex Borg proposed fixed general election dates to end uncertainty.

In-Nazzjon says Alex Borg spoke on Sunday about the need to give the people less stress in their accommodation.

L-orizzont says the Speaker addressed the International Parliamentary Union, stressing the need for a global commitment to peace.
