The following are the top stories in Malta's newspapers.
Times of Malta’s lead story is an interview with the father of the man who died after a hotel fight. He is saying that contrary to court testimony, his son was not unwell and did not have a brain tumour.
Another story on the newspaper’s front is about how couples will recieve an extra seven days leave each in the government’s miscarriage leave proposal.
The same government plan is on the Malta Independent’s front page.
A story on NGOs urging the government to withdraw the controversial planning reform bill from parliament is also on that newspaper’s front.
L-Orrizont, a General Workers Union owned paper also leads with those government proposals.
They also include a report on the Vitals court case saying that a court expert did not want to say if he confirmed whether Joseph Muscat did the work that he was paid to do by Accutor.
In-Nazzjon, the Nationalist Party’s daily paper has a story about the PN’s motion calling on the government to withdraw their planning reform bills.
There is also a story that charges have been filed against the man who is suspected of being behind a spate of shocking attacks on cats in Sliema and other localities.
