Times of Malta reports that MCAST auditors PKF have yet to sign off on the college’s 2023 accounts, a year when a finance manager was allegedly siphoning off huge sums of money from MCAST payroll.
The newspaper also reports that a hairdresser whose salon was destroyed when a car smashed into it was out feeding cats at the time.
The Malta Independent reports that a group of NGOs is preparing to battle the government over planning reform bills. “NGOs insist that planning bills should be withdrawn”, the newspaper writes.
It also reports on MCAST saying it is carrying out a review of its internal processes after its finance manager was charged with embezzling €2.3 million in college money.
