The top stories in Malta's newspapers

The following are the top stories in the last edition of Malta's Sunday newspapers this year.

The Sunday Times of Malta refers to a new report which found a sharp drop in smoking among men, but, alas, not among women. It also reports that a government programme to breed sea urchins (rizzi) to once again populate the seas is showing promising signs of success.

The Malta Independent on Sunday and MaltaToday review the major events of 2025, the latter focusing on 'unfinished business'.

Illum has a front page article on 'the earthquake that is Donald Trump.'

It-Torċa claims there are major doubts about the auditing of the PN's accounts. It also remembers the letter bomb murder of Karin Grech, 48 years on, and reports there were a record 10,000 job openings in the third quarter of this year.

KullĦadd celebrates L-Istrina and mourns Karin Grech on the letter bomb anniversary. It also recalls benefits of the Budget, economic growth and 'courageous decisions' in 2025.

Il-Mument says Alex Borg is its Personality of the Year 2025.
