The top stories in Malta's newspapers on Tuesday

The following are the stories making the front pages of Malta's daily newspapers.

Times of Malta reports that muggers robbed a woman of her life savings of €40,000 in cash. It also features comments by Malta’s UNESCO ambassador that Fort Tigné should be managed by a purposely set-up heritage trust.

The Malta Independent says environmental NGOs have again called for the suspension of development permits under appeal. It also reports that Malta is coming to the end of its two-year term on the UN Security Council.

In-Nazzjon says there has been another suicide attempt at the prisons. It also reports that three have been kept under arrest on suspicion of trying to import drugs, 

l-orizzont also leads with the conclusion of Malta's term on the Security Council of the United Nations. It says in its second story that 179 died in a plane crash in South Korea.
