The top stories in Malta's newspapers

The following are the stories making the front pages in Malta's Sunday newspapers.

The Sunday Times of Malta leads with a man's account of how his father was unjustly framed and accused of attempting to kill Dom Mintoff 46 years ago after a shooting at the Auberge de Castille. The newspaper also reports that the architects leading the Grand Harbour revamp are confident the entire project can be completed within 15 years, provided the necessary commitment and financing are secured.

The Malta Independent on Sunday leads with remarks by the Governor of the Central Bank that there were elements of undervaluation in property in Malta for the past five years, but this is now disappearing. It also reports that Malta's immigration police make some 1,000 arrests every year.

MaltaToday says an assault on Adrian Delia's son has cast a spotlight on anti-social behaviour by a group of teenagers in Sliema.

It-Torċa gives prominence to an IMF report confirming the rapid growth of Malta's economy. It also reports that Malta Enterprise is seeking to attract more varied foreign investment to Malta.

Illum takes a different take on the IMF report, saying Malta has been warned that it needs to change its economic model because of pressures on the infrastructure and the labour market.

KullĦadd focuses on the government's plans to regenerate the Grand Harbour.

Il-Mument under a large photo of PN leader Alex Borg says he is a man of his word. The story is in the context of the controversy over the appointment of a chief justice.
