The top stories in Malta's newspapers

The following are the top stories in Malta's newspapers on Tuesday.

Times of Malta leads with the latest from the Daphne Caruana Galizia murder trial, reporting how convicted hitman Vince Muscat told the court about the €150,000 murder plan.

The newspaper also carries a farmer's description after he was allowed to a field devastated by the Salina fireworks factory explosion.

The Malta Independent also leads with the trial. It also reports that the mayor of Swieqi has written to the prime minister about disorderly conduct in short-let properties in the locality.

L-orizzont says an amicable settlement was reached after an incident in Valletta on Saturday which saw a 100-year-old religious statue destroyed during film-making.  It also reports that a worker was injured in a construction site accident.

In-Nazzjon says Swieqi residents suffered hours of chaos because of unruly foreign youngsters.
