Today's top stories in Malta's newspapers

The following are the top stories in Malta's newspapers on Sunday. 

The Sunday Times of Malta leads with the conviction of two men for the murder of Ivor Maciejowski and Christian Pandolfino in August 2020. It also reports that the government is to announce plans for a ferry service between Sliema, Bugibba and Gozo. 

The Malta Independent on Sunday discusses the pros and cons of an early election as the PN gets on with electing a new leader. It also features comments by a police superintendent on the most frequent causes of traffic accidents - speed and distraction.

Illum also leads with the possibility of an early election, saying Labour is considering having one after the Budget.

MaltaToday highlights how migrants are being sold a lie, promised good jobs in Malta only to become exploited modern slaves. It also reports how Adrian Delia has submitted his nomination to become PN leader once again. 

KullĦadd highlights Malta's good reputation abroad as it starts its presidency of the Council of Europe. It also says that Roberta Metsola is backing Adrian Delia in the PN leadership race. 

It-Torċa claims there is 'total chaos' at the PN as 'friends' contest each other for the leadership. It also says Malta is celebrating the traditional feast of Mnarja today. 

Il-Mument says the government's failure to get some constitutional amendments through parliament was a humiliating failure last week. It also announces Adrian Delia's formal nomination to become PN leader.
