The top stories in Malta's newspapers

The following are the top stories in Malta's newspapers on Tuesday.

Times of Malta reports that a senior civil servant was listed as the advertiser behind a series of Labour Party videos, potentially breaching impartiality rules. It also reports that a top backer of the Malta National Orchestra got €8 million from an 'anonymous' financier.

The Malta Independent leads with a plea by the mayor of Mellieha for action to avoid a potential rockfall at L-Imġiebaħ Bay. It also reports that the manufacture and testing of Malta's new interconnector cable has been completed.

In-Nazzjon focuses on how Malta has slipped in a European media freedom index.
