The top stories in Malta's newspapers
The following are the top stories in Malta's newspapers on Friday.
All newspapers lead with news that a man has denied attempting to murder his two children after his 12-year-old son was found seriously injured in a pool of blood and his 10-year-old daughter told police her father tried to strangle her.
The Times of Malta also reports that an Egyptian artist selected to exhibit at the Malta Biennale says organisers rejected an alternative version of his work after the war in the Middle East prevented him from transporting the original installation.
The Malta Independent, meanwhile, notes that the prime minister has suggested lower penalties for people found guilty of abortion, but he ruled out a law reform.
In-Nazzjon separately reports that the PN's policy favours the continued growth of companies.
L-orizzont reports on a new government initiative that allows 16-year-olds to open their own companies under a new legal framework.
