Times of Malta reports that a Ukranian organised crime syndicate has been discovered trafficking Eastern Europeans into Malta and investigators believe the Maltese authorities could have played a role in “facilitating” the racket. It also reports that the provider of the new fast-ferry service to Gozo will have to take over the traditional channel crossing too.

L-Orizzont says the Prime Minister has adopted a wait-and-see approach before committing to the EU's new defence cooperation agreement. It also reports that €76 million were being made available for three health projects.

In-Nazzon reports that the Nationalist Party had unanimously agreed to dismantle the Forza Nazzjonali coalition created for the 2017 general election.

The Malta Independent says a proposal had been made to build a 13-storey development on the site formerly occupied by the Jerma Palace Hotel in Marsascala.
