Alternattiva Demokratika has congratulated the Malta Gay Rights Movement on its second anniversary and called on the government to fully implement the EU directives protecting citizens from discrimination based on sexual orientation.

AD civil rights spokesman James Debono said that if the directives were not fully implemented the government would be disappointing all those who voted for EU membership in order to bring about more openness and tolerance in Malta.
