Foreign Affairs Minister Tonio Borg signed cooperation agreements in recent days with Syria, Lebanon and Jordan.

In Syria, Dr Borg concluded an agreement with his counterpart Walid Almoallem aiming to enhance cooperation between the two countries on peace and security in the Mediterranean. In Lebanon, he signed a memorandum of understanding on peace and security as well as a protocol agreement amending the convention between the two countries on double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion.

In Jordan, a double taxation agreement was signed to facilitate trade between the two countries.
