I would like to point that as usual, merciless hunting is going on right now. I can only comment on our vast area here in Siġġiewi. Hundreds of shots are being fired every day especially in the morning and in the Tal-Providenza and Wied il-Ħesri areas.

Some hunters persist in killing everything that flies and obviously they are doing this to compensate for the spring season. What about the European Union? Are they going to keep silent about these atrocities? What about the Administrative Law Enforcement Unit? When is the government going to increase the manpower at the unit?

I am ashamed that more Maltese do not speak out against this slaughter. It is the pure apathy that we Maltese are renowned for. What about the Church authorities why don't they speak out?

The Maltese must wake up and protest. I am sure Malta is one of the countries where the least number of protests are organised. Pity, because I think protests are one of the ways how pressure can be exerted.
