The singles section of the H2Only league is gradually drawing to its close. In Division 2A, Daniel Abdilla (Birkirkara Medairco) ended his commitments with two wins to preserve his unbeaten record, having won nine of the ten matches played and drawn the remaining one.
Maria Borg (Shuttles BC) follows in second place, with six wins and three draws on her record.
In Division 2B, Albert Bezzina (Birkirkara Medairco) notched another win to end his commitments unbeaten at the top of the table with six wins and two draws from the eight matches. Team-mate Adrian Chetcuti follows in second place, with five wins and two draws.
Divisions 2A and 2B will resume with the semi-final play-offs, over the best of three sets, on February 13.
Abdilla plays Chetcuti and Bezzina takes on Borg. The winners of these two matches will then face each other for the Division two title.
Maria Mizzi (Birkirkara Medairco) won the Division Four title, with six wins from the seven matches played. The only defeat was sustained against runner-up Mathilde Friggieri.
Final standings: Maria Mizzi 18 points; Mathilde Friggieri 16; Yvette Zarb 15; Jahel Briffa 12; Jeanella Grech 7; Stephanie Meilak and Sean Mifsud 5; Jan Cutajar 0.
The H2Only League continues on Sunday with additional fixtures from Division One of the Singles League as well as from Divisions Two and Three of the Doubles League.
